In 2016 Belfast born singer/songwriter Dave McKendry gave away all his instruments to set off on a push bike around Europe. Finding an old guitar in a dusty corner of Spain soon proved that leaving music, if not home, was a mistake. Trading bike for guitar, he wrote and played his way to a new life. Now based in Vienna, he writes, records and performs with the best Austria has to offer, artists across Europe and beyond.

Working his way from street musician to thousand-seater+ support shows, McKendry has honed his craft over years of touring through Europe. Racking up hundreds of shows in 2019 alone, he retreated to the studio to work on his debut studio album “HumanBeingKind” released October 2022. The release was marked by a whirlwind tour through Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, with 28 shows in 30 days. Returning immediately to the studio, he spent the entirety of 2023 writing. Singles “Song For No One”, “93 Million Miles” and “Collateral” heralded the “Semaphore EP”, released in April 2024.

After taking time away from the project directly after the release of the Semaphore EP, Dave is returning to touring where he will focus his energy for the remainder of 2024 and 2025.
